Kent understood the power of an image in advertising. He was also in tune with the buying public. His images appeared in ads in all the major magazines of the day. He was commissioned to illustrate ads for Steinway, Marcus Jewelers, P.O.N. (Pride of Newark Beer), Rahr, General Electric, Spaulding, American Export Lines, and many others. Lenthéric Perfume, still on the market today in the UK, illustrates Kent’s skill with images from the art deco period.
