The Calm After the Storm
Engraving, Bequest of Sally Kent Gorton,
During the clear days of the spring, when the sea calms down for a short period of time, rusty hulls of the ships, memory of different years, can be seen throughout the rocks along the shores. Here the height of the tide can be up to 4 meters and the old ships can be broken and taken by it to the rocks where the seagulls nest. These hulls trouble the eye of the seaman, as the grassy trenches, traces of the hard battles, trouble the eye of the experienced soldier.
