A Geographic Formation, 2009, steel, 46 x 36 x 36”
|I am a constructive steel sculptor who wants to show simple repetitive lines, both linear and organic, to form geometric shapes in steel. These shapes work together with each line that is created to form a space that is present, but ever changing to all viewers. Without this motion which the observer should feel, the object would become stagnant. The motion of any form is important to my own work because the suggestion of movement that is added makes each work evolve beyond a stable form into an active life-like form, inviting the viewer into the piece for interaction. |
