Born in Romania in 1946, Peter Krausz completed his studies at the Bucharest Academy of Fine Arts in 1969. Since 1970, he has made Montreal his home. From 1980 to 1991, he curated the Saidye Bronfman Centre Art Gallery. In 1991, he joined the faculty at the University of Montreal where he is now a tenured Professor of Fine Art in the Art History Department. A prolifically talented artist whose diversified production includes not only painting and drawing but also photography and installations, Peter Krausz has exhibited across Canada and the United States as well as in Europe. His works can be found in many prominent public and private collections.
