Art is play. Art is a process. Art is self-expression.

I find it very exciting to approach art as play. Working without boundary or guideline, allowing images to emerge and evolve, responding to colors and forms as they present themselves; this is what makes creating art so enjoyable for me.

Art is a process. Letting go of preconceptions and permitting the process to unfold is a necessary and welcome event for me. The initial image is often different from the completed image and there are surprises along the way.

Self-expression and expression of the world in which we live is perhaps the most satisfying aspect of making art. Choosing any subject or vision and developing it according to my own interpretation is an ultimate joy.
