Gladys Thayer Reasoner(1887-1945), was the daughter of Abbott Handerson Thayer and Kate Bloede, the cousin of Kathleen Whiting Kent, Kents' first wife, and the wife of David Reasoner. Gladys, like her husband, studied art under her father's tutelage. At least one of the Reasoner's children, Jean Reasoner Plunket, also pursued the arts; Jean specializes in portraiture.
Gladys worked in a variety of media-oils, pastels,-which she used to render flowers and portraits. She achieved a fair amount of commercial success showing in New York and Boston, at Grand Central, Knoedler and Vose Galleries.
