Figure Study, 2000
oil on wood, 48 x 36
Averill Park, NY
The simplest way that I can describe my work is that it is autobiographical and process orientated. I record my surroundings in sketches and later paint some of these images. Recently I have been painting from observation and nature, which is a stronger way for me to paint. The work is becoming more abstract and expressive as I gain greater control over the craft.
