I feel that ceramics is a combination of a trade and of an art. When working with clay, I am intrigued by knowing that I am creating by using methods that have been around for thousands of years. There is a certain level of mystery involved in ceramics. Creating, decorating, and firing each have their own axis lending to numerous outcomes, all of which require a level of patience and understanding. This being said, I find solace in working with clay.
