Jessie Reagan

graphic, left bracketAs a writer, I have an innate interest in psychological narrative scenes which I bring into my paintings through compositional and color choices. I enjoy exploring subtly emotional scenes and relationships, and often use my family members as a catalyst for the energy described in the paintings. In my printmaking, I have slightly departed from these ideas. I concentrate more on the effect of a color on a simple subject matter, exploring different techniques and textures, as well as the process of printmaking. Both mediums have a meditative effect on me as I work with them which results in an intricate and extremely personal finished product.graphic, left bracket
