Ian Coleman

graphic, left bracketIt is easier to define what type of artist I am by what I am not rather than what I am. I utilize stylistic elements of various movements but I am a practitioner of none. My work expresses a narrative that combines ancient and contemporary elements. I leave myself open to all materials and, more often than not, lean toward the creation of fluid forms that possess a cautionary sharpness without being rigid.graphic, left bracket
