Boards and Committees
Academic Affairs Board (AAB):
The AAB is responsible for the coordination of all academic affairs and programs sponsored by the Student Association. This board is also responsible for educating the student body on the academic issues that affect them. The AAB is composed of the Vice President for Academic Affairs as well as 10-25 student representatives, a faculty representative and the ex-officio from the Student Senate.
Activities Coordination Board (ACB):
The ACB oversees the Homecoming Committee as well as the Ski Committee.They are responsible for planning, organizing and publicizing concerts for the student body and for the selection and running of the Sunday night movie. The ACB provides many other different forms of entertainment for the student body throughout the fall and spring semesters including festivals, comedians and guest speakers.This board is composed of the Vice President for Activities, 10-30 student representatives, a faculty representative and the ex-officio from the Student Senate.
Central Affairs Board (CAB):
The CAB promotes multi-cultural awareness and cooperation on campus as well as within the community. This board also oversees the Committee for Student Advocacy and the Committee on Cultural Diversity.The CAB is composed of the Vice President for Central Affairs, 10-20 student representatives, a faculty representative and the ex-officio from the Student Senate.
Organizations Affairs Board (OAB):
The OAB is the Student Association Executive Board that oversees, collaborates and advocates for clubs and organizations. Each year we host the Mandatory Club Officer meeting, ensure the collation of the club directory, host club fairs in conjunction with Open House and hosts special events that are specific to the student body. Presently we oversee 65 clubs and organizations and the 12 residence hall councils.This board consists of the Vice President for Organizations, the Senate Ex-Officio to the OAB, a faculty/staff advisor and a minimum of nine (9) student members.
Finance Board:
The purpose of the Finance Board is to assist the SA Senate by providing recommendations on the handling of the SA funds. This board reviews all of the budget requests of each of the SA organizations, compiles the total SA budget and makes recommendations to the senate. They also review all of the requests for additional allocations.This board is composed the Vice President for Finances, the Account Executive, 12-15 student representatives, a faculty representative and the ex-officio from the Student Senate.
Legislative Review Board:
The purpose of the Legislative Review Board is to assist the SA by reviewing all legislation and making sure that it is all constitutional. This Board is composed of a Student Association Senator and up to nine student represenatives.
Campus Arts Council-The Campus Arts Council (CAC):
It sponsors and organizes high quality Arts programs, advocates for the Arts, hold discussions on interdisciplinary events, and encourages curriculum coordination among the Arts departments (Music, Theatre, Art, and the Art Museum).
Art Acquisitions Committee-SA Art Acquisitions:
Art Acquisitions Committee-SA Art Acquisitions is responsible for the discussion and presentation of possible art acquisitions for artwork to be acquired for placement in the SA Collection. This collection represents multiple backgrounds and is available to all students.
Arts Finance Subcommittee:
It is a committee that discusses the finances of the Arts groups, and breaks down the funding allocations to be given to each group to presnet to Finance Board and the SA Senate.
